Why did Anthony's pizza close?
The longtime pizza joint was empty, with its lights out at dinner time Thursday, an unusual sight for a business that regularly stayed busy. "We were at the end of our lease and trying to negotiate a new one for quite some time, but couldn't come to terms," Antony's co-owning partner Sal Diana said.

To cook the pizzas, coal ovens employ a “fire-in-the-oven” method. The oven is brought to an intensely high temperature by building a good-sized flame on a large bed of coals. This allows the pizzas to be cooked in a matter of minutes. Both the floor and the dome are completely filled with heat.
