What are the requirements for school lunch?
We are required, as part of the National School Lunch Program, to provide meals that: 1 offer less than 30% of their calories from fat 2 offer less than 10% of calories form saturated fat 3 meet goals based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans in regard to meeting recommended quantities of nutrients (including protein, iron, calcium, Vitamin A and Vitamin C)

When will school meals be free?

Why do some students skip breakfast at home?
Some students skip breakfast at home because they are not hungry when they first wake up. Many families find it difficult for their children to get up, dressed, fed, and off to school. When parents rely on the School Breakfast Program, they can be assured that their child will receive a healthy breakfast every day.
