What do you think about Bear Branch?
Bear Branch has other merits, but in a pandemic with a young child that can't get a vaccine yet... the heated deck really was a fantastic thing. Other positives include a generally interesting and well composed special, decent mixed drinks, and rotating micro brews. I will be coming back.. a lot.

Great outdoor space and oyster happy hour is 5 stars even if everything else isn't. House made beer cheese with Fluvanna Fluss Hefeweizen, warm Bavarian pretzels, house made pickles, & apricot chutney.
Entrees
Pan seared certified angus beef ribeye, roasted heirloom fingerling potatoes, grilled apollo asparagus, herb miso compound butter.
