Where is the Black Boy Inn?

The Black Boy Inn is a listed building which is situated in the historic town walls of the Royal Borough of Caernarfon. The Inn is within easy walking distance to the town centre, and the famous 13th-century Castle.

What is the Black Boy?

The Black Boy is an old inn with a great atmosphere. The room was comfortable and clean and had the usual facilities. Due to COVID, there was no room cleaning/servicing for our stay but things like extra tea bags etc or anything else was available...#N#from reception. We stayed in the main hotel and there is an annexe with extra rooms as well. Note that room access in the main hotel would be a challenge for anyone with limited mobility. The staff were really friendly and I think they may be a few pairs of hands down given the pandemic impact but they worked hard to make sure everything was OK on our visit. We only ate breakfast but the choice was good, the food quality was high and extras of anything were readily available. I'd recommend it. There are some parking spaces the pub has but these are limited. They will give you a free pass for the quayside parking about 3 minutes walk away though and after dropping the bags off, that was no trouble. You may want to be sure of your directions when dropping bags/guests off as you have to drive in through one of the castle gates and up a short incline (that's also how you reach the hotel car park). Turning to get your car is possible but there is a children's play area next to you so a quieter time would be ideal. You may find yourself reversing back to the road (it's not a busy one).#N#More
