We began in 2008 as a small, craft-batch coffee roaster with a passion for quality and consistency. In the beginning, Black Velvet was shared with neighbors, sold at farmers’ markets, and served at local concerts and events.
The Espresso Bar
We have an extremely high value for quality, serving organic, Rain Forest Alliance and Fair Trade coffees. Roasting takes place on-site to ensure freshness and the best possible drinking experience.
The Wine Bar
We have an appreciation for those who pour their blood, sweat and tears into something they’re passionate about. Our love for coffee naturally led to a love of wine. Because of the similar flavor profiles and tasting processes, wine fits perfectly into our world.
Coffee
We feature a rotating selection of hand-picked and hand-sorted micro lot coffees from around the globe. Each bag is roasted fresh in Mammoth Lakes, California at 8000ft.
