How long do you cook boudin?

Place links of boudin into the seasoned boiling water such that they are totally submerged in the water. The water will then be cooled, but keep heating the water up to a very light simmer. Do not re-boil the water, as this can cause the boudin casings to burst. Continue to cook, uncovered, for about 10 to 15 minutes.

History

It was in 1849 that the first ever Boudin French Bakery was established in San Francisco. They differed from the other bakeries because they made use of their “mother dough”, the same one that they still use today instead of the regular cake yeast.

The place is neat and tidy, from the dining area up to the bathroom. It is well-designed, lending a quirky feel to everything with little bread decorations.
