What is included in a BWH email?

Your daily email includes timely messages of interest to the entire BWH employee community, including news items; announcements about upcoming employee and hospital events, from seminars to free chair massages; and information about new perks that are available, such as tickets to upcoming shows and sports events. Be sure to check your email every day to see what’s new. Also, many departments and employee groups have their own email groups, circulating news of more targeted interest. You might ask your manager and co-workers for suggestions about email lists you might join.

Who is the President of BWH?

Senior leadership of BWH, including BWH President Dr. Betsy Nabel, is committed to being accessible and responsive to all staff. For this reason, open forum Town Meetings are held annually, and all employees are invited to attend. Town Meetings include a State of the Hospital address by Dr. Nabel, followed by a question and answer period. House Specialty Salads

Fresh arugula with a made-to-order blend of sliced cucumber, red onion, chopped green house tomatoes & diced avocado. Tossed with a blend of extra virgin olive oil & lemon juice. Enhanced with crumbled feta cheese. Dressing: Habanero Mango Vinaigrette, House, Ranch, Honey Mustard, Asian Sesame.

Pike Cafe Sandwiches

Slow roasted pork tossed with caramelized onions, bell peppers, sweet & spicy BBQ sauce & Monterey Jack cheddar cheeses served on a brioche roll. Side: Sweet Maui Chips, Fresh Cut Fries.

Pike Burgers

Topped with Sriracha Galzed Applewood Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Boursin and Provlone Cheese, Prosciutto, Mushrooms. Temperature: Well Done, Medium Well, Medium, Medium Rare, Rare. Side: Sweet Maui Onion Chips, French Cut Fries.

Entrees

Grass fed veal cutleat seasoned and pan seared to perfection. Accompanied with sauteed wild mushrooms and scallions. Finished with a scaloppini pan sauce. Salad Dressing: Balsamic Vinaigrette, Ranch, French, Creamy Italian, Russian. Sides: Corn Fritters, Apple Fritters, Mashed Potatoes, Wild Rice, Asparagus.

Since I first wrote the introduction (below) Arlington Mill Community Center has been completed and the Streetcar has been canceled . The scope of the site has grown to include all of Colombia Pike within Arlington, Buildings, Businesses, Parks, Neighborhoods, Activities, Entertainment and more...

September 2013

This site was started in order to document the changes that are happening along Columbia Pike in Arlington, Virginia. The Pike is in the process of being revitalized ( neighborhood plans ). Most intersections will have new buildings on at least one corner and and there will be a lot of revamping in between.

Western Gateway

The Western Gateway runs from the County Line at Carlin Springs to Greenbier Street to the North and Frederick to the South.

Village Center

The Village Center runs from South Taylor Street to South Randolf Street.

Town Center

The Town Center runs from South Oakland Street to South Courthouse Road.
