What is the cafe on the Ave?
Cafe on the Ave is such a cute cafe. The lobby seating area practically beacons you to sit down with a laptop and do some work. Their menu is huge and covers many bases. They have breakfast items, Asian fusion items, lunch items, and a full menu of coffee drinks. After weighing countless options, I settled on the turkey pesto sandwich. I can't remember if their wasn't a full description of the sandwich, or if I just didn't read it, but I was surprised to see cranberry and cream cheese on it. Though I didn't expect it, I loved it. The fries were also super good. The only thing I would've changed about my sandwich is the bread type. The sourdough was a bit dry, and I think it would've jived better on wheat bread, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Where is the ordering counter at the dining room?
The ordering counter is at the end of the dining room. You can dine-in or carry-out. If you dine-in, they give you a number and someone brings your food (you're supposed to wait for your drink - something I didn't realize until it was too late). The atmosphere is sort of a combination of history meets industrial.
