The food was good but it's a little strange that they don' t have their liquo r license so their margaritas are wine-based. That being said, the margaritas, food, and salsa were good. Their menu states that it is management's discretion to charge for an additional basket... of chips and/or salsa.
Is taco meat bland?
This would be the dry bland version of someone attempting to make Mexican food. The Taco meat is dry and bland, the refried beans are dry and not wet, the rice was dry...I am hoping you see a theme here. The salsa was very bland...#N#minus the overpowering of onion. It was not balanced with the other ingredients they did have in there. While somewhat fresh, the guacamole also lacked flavor. It was overpriced, actually everything on the menu is overpriced. The service was excellent, but it was not very busy at 5:15pm, so there's that. I came to Chicos a couple weeks ago for lunch with a friend and thought maybe it was an off day because both of our orders were not good. Today I thought I would try something basic for dinner, but today was also a bust. I am taking Chicos off the list. Go to Taco Express, it is MUCH tastier and has a lot of options of which all that I have tried have been pretty good!#N#More
