Where is Chulo in Watertown?
Chulo is a delicious and delightful find in Watertown. It's a discreetly hidden, 2nd floor walk up Nepalese restaurant.Up front they have a bar with a stage area for a band. The back is a small dining area. They were playing live Nepalese music on a Saturday evening (website says live music on Mon, Fri, Sat).
What is a chulo stove?
'Chulo' is a traditional Nepali stove that is made out of mud, used for cooking in rural areas ( where so phisticated gas/electric stoves arent prevalent), as well as urban areas ( as an alternative oven). Most Nepalis prefer food cooked in a Chulo due to its rich and authentic taste.
