What is the difference between mythos and Confisco?
Its theming reflects the eclectic nature of Port of Entry, with a hodge-podge of decor representing items that the proprietors of this establishment have collected (or confiscated) in the course of their travels. Pork Belly Banh-Mi Sandwich
My foodie adventure started with this hearty sandwich. It comes with thick cuts of perfectly cooked pork belly and a blend of fresh veggies. I also have a feeling that chile aioli sauce can make anything taste good.
Chilled Tuna Noodle Bowl
This light and refreshing dish is for you if you’re feeling a bit guilty from fried food and ice cream. I can see this becoming a signature dish and it happens to be one of Chef Glus’s favorites.
Hearthstone Baked Chicken Sandwich
This isn’t your typical chicken sandwich. It’s baked in a wood oven with melted mozzarella cheese and have I mentioned Universal bakes its bread on property? Delicious!
Hummus
To be honest, I almost got full eating all of the hummus – it was that good! And that lavosh it comes with *chef’s kiss*. I’d highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a snack. Confisco regulars will be happy to know it’s still the classic hummus recipe, but with a new look.
Serving Up Adventure for 20 Years
First time hearing of Confisco? Then you’ve been missing out. This hidden gem has been hiding out in plain sight since Islands of Adventure opened in 1999. This restaurant has served as a resting spot for all explorers coming through Port of Entry. Their worldwide travels have served as the main inspiration for the menu.
Elevating Your Dining Experience
One of the common themes I hooked into while speaking with Chef Glus was “elevating” Universal’s dining experience. So, my big question. Why now?

What food allergy options do they have at Confisco Grille and what allergen procedures do they have?
Confisco has a full service bar and a full service menu including Italian, Mexican, Asian, Greek, and American dishes like wood-grilled pizzas, salads, fajitas and wings!
What I ate that was gluten, soy and dairy free
For starters, we had the non breaded chicken wings in olive oil! It was incredible and one of the first times I’ve had wings in years that didn’t upset my stomach (I know I shouldn’t do a shared fryer or canola oil but sometimes I’m just so hungry!)
What the Chef recommended for top 8 options
All of my kiddos have been very limited at one point or another, and one is still top 14 plus. So I always ask what the chef would recommend for them and share it here with you. (And I like to read my notes when I’m in the parks with them after the fact! I hate going somewhere only to be served fruit and rice.)
My thoughts and will I be back?
I’ve eaten at lots of Universal places this summer and I happily recommend Confisco Grille as one of the TOP locations inside the parks for food allergy eats.
