The word ‘cotogna’ is Italian for ‘quince.’ The restaurant is a more casual and convivial counterpart to Chef Michael and Lindsay Tusk’s decorated fine dining restaurant next door. What to eat in Cotogna?
Cotogna was quite the restaurant! The food was amazing! We had the mandarin orange salad, pancetta & ricotta pizza, raviolo with farm egg & brown butter, and spaghetti alla vongole.
Should I pick Cotogna for lunch Nye dinner?
You can never go wrong w picking Cotogna. We came for lunch NYE and promptly seated outdoors (wo reservations). I appreciated the heated lights as well as blankets provided as it was a little chilly outside. All of the employees all work masks-unsure if SF is mandating COVID Vaccines for restaurant establishments but they didn't ask to see ours.
