Who is the principal of Chaska Middle School?

Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Dr. Greg Martin as the next principal of Chaska Middle School East. Martin will start his role July 1, and follows Beth Holm, who is assuming the principalship of Bluff Creek Elementary.

When is the Carver County School Board's operating levy?

At their Monday, June 28 meeting, the Eastern Carver County School Board unanimously approved putting an operating referendum in front of voters in the November 2, 2021 election. The operating levy is a strategic investment in sustaining and building the district’s high quality educational and programming activities into the future.

What do students learn in Eastern Carver County?

Eastern Carver County Schools students learn at their own pace — it’s part of personalized learning. Students can easily work above grade level in reading and math, and in a few cases some students have gone to a middle school or high school for what they need.

Is ECCS giving free meals?

Due to an extension in federal funding, ECCS will be able to provide free meals this summer to children up to 18 years old. These weekly meal kits will be FREE and will need to be pre-ordered.

District Lunch Prices

Daily Lunch prices are as follows: HTHS is $2.75, HMS is $2.50, HIS is $2.25 and HES is $2.00. Reduced lunch price is $.40 in each building. A-la-carte lunch options are available in HTHS, HMS, and HIS at variable costs.

Meal Debt Procedures

No current debt: Cashier quietly informs student of insufficient funds and gives him/her a slip of paper to take home with the amount owed ("form" slip will be provided to cashiers).

What grades do you have to eat breakfast in?

For grades 3,4,5, a breakfast cart will be moving from classroom to classroom at the start of each school day and students will be permitted to eat in their classrooms. For grades 6,7,8, a breakfast will now be available for the Intermediate School. Students will be permitted to eat in their classroom each day.
