What time does breakfast start in the school?
Breakfast is served each morning from 7:15am-7:45am. Food and Nutrition Services expect payment either in advance or at the point of service. Students at elementary and middle schools are allowed to charge meals on an emergency basis only. Students at high schools and adults at all locations are not allowed to charge meals.
Can high school students pay for meals?
Students at high schools and adults at all locations are not allowed to charge meals. If parents or guardians find it impossible to pay for student meals, please apply for free or reduced meals by completing an application available from your local school cafeteria manager.
Is breakfast free at Hollis Academy?
Breakfast is FREE for all students at Hollis Academy. Breakfast is served daily from 7:15am-7:45am. Please be sure your child arrives at school on time in order to take advantage of our free breakfast.
Do Elemementary students get an alternate meal?
Elemementary students will receive an alternate meal* when there are no funds to purchase a meal. A la carte sale will not be sold to students who are given an alternate meal. A list of students that are affected must be generated the day before and given to the school prior to school opening the following day.

Hungry Kids in the Morning ..
Breakfast is available at all Greenville City Schools in the cafeteria each morning that we are operating on a regular schedule. If we are on a delay schedule, we will not be serving breakfast. All children are eligible to eat breakfast. The breakfast menu is on the reverse side of the monthly lunch menu.

When is Greenville County School Virtual Program?
Beginning on Monday, August 24, Greenville County Schools will be providing meals to students enrolled in the Virtual Program from 15 district locations on Mondays from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm on a to-go basis. Meals will be served near the parent pick up line or school bus loop. Meal pick up locations will vary by school.
How many lunches are included in attendance plan 1?
During attendance plan 1, students will receive 4 breakfasts and 4 lunches to take home. Some items included in the meals will be ready to eat, and others will be heat and serve.
What is in person school?
In-Person Program. Students attending the in-person program (one-day a week at the start of school) can receive breakfast and lunch for days they are not in attendance. The meals will be picked up at the school they are attending. Each school will determine an appropriate registration process for its students.
What is a carry over period for school?
The carry over period is the amount of time students are allowed by USDA to remain on the prior years’ meal status. In order to qualify for free or reduced meals, parents must complete a new free and reduced meal application every school year.
Is breakfast free at GCS?
Breakfast is free for all GCS students. Full-pay students will be charged $12.50 per week. Students on Reduced status will be charged $2 per week. Students on Free status will receive all meals for free, per USDA guidelines. Some items included in the meals will be ready to eat, and others will be heat-and-serve items.
