Residential Meal Plans
All students living in residence halls are required to participate in a residential meal plan. Each plan includes weekly X-Change meals, Dining Dollars to purchase snacks and guest passes for others to use.
About NMU Meal Plans
A meal plan is a passport into any of our dining halls on campus. One swipe provides access to a pleasurable dining experience that encourages a balanced lifestyle, culinary exploration, and community interaction. There are several plans to choose from that are designed to meet the needs of all our Wildcat students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
About NLD
Northern Lights Dining is the premier dining facility on campus, located between The Woods and Spalding Hall. Newly renovated in 2018 and offering students a full dining experience with a wide variety of meal options at our unique stations.

Your destination for pasta dishes, pizzas, stone oven creations and more.
16 Greens
Find plant and animal-based proteins as well as spinach, mixed greens, romaine and fresh vegetables.
The Cutting Board
Serving up a variety of plated menu items and featuring carved meats from beef, chicken, pork and fish.
The Grate
Grilled burgers, chicken and more. Gluten-free buns and plant-based options available upon request.
Fast Break
Find peanut butter, almond butter, Nutella, cream cheese, whole grain cereals and bagels, as well as milk, yogurt and a variety of fresh fruit.
Maple Leaf
Ice cream machines with an assortment of toppings, along with cookies, cakes, pie and a variety of baked goods.*
Location Overview
Our newest restaurant features pub-style food, including locally sourced burgers, salads, wings, wood stone pizza and baked macaroni and cheese. Come for the food and stay for the pool, darts, Foosball, shuffle-puck and more!
