What to eat at Falafel's drive-in?
I have been going to Falafel's Drive-In for 30+ years, it is an early example of Middle Eastern-owned business in the South Bay. I recommend the banana milkshakes (I don't really like bananas, so something about this is special), the homemade pita chips, and the falafel sandwiches are all good choices.
What is the difference between falafel and gyro and Pita?
The falafel, super dry (hence why they drown with tahini), very little salad (which was not well chopped) and the falafel was very green and herby. Pita chips were overloaded with herbs, stale and without any flavor. Gyro was also very average and the pitas were bought in and not made in house.
Is falafel's drive-in San Jose worth a visit?
I cannot recommend this place enough- it is a MUST visit for anyone in the San Jose area. I have been going to Falafel's Drive-In for 30+ years, it is an early example of Middle Eastern-owned business in the South Bay.
What is the difference between falafel and koubby?
- falafel (in a pita pouch w lettuce, tomato, and red sauce) was good, falafel was plentiful and warm, the touted red sauce was sweeter than hot. - banana shake; disappointing! Tasted like a weak artificial (?) banana flavoring. Koubby: dry, not as moist as the falafel.
