What is Peoria Unified School District Summer Food Service?
Thanks to the USDA Summer Food Service Program for Children, the Peoria Unified School District will provide breakfast and lunch curbside free to any child this summer, age 18 and under. Lunch and breakfast will be served at 12 school sites and a snack and dinner will be available at the Peoria Community Center. Meals are available for curbside pick-up by car, or walk-up. Children must be present, or student identification must be presented. Children do not have to be enrolled in the Peoria Unified School District to participate. Read more about our Free Summer Meals
What is the food and nutrition department?
The Food and Nutrition Department provides for the nutritional well-being of our students through nutrition integrity and quality programs. We support student achievement by providing a variety of nutritious meals and encouraging students to make healthy choices.
Special meal accommodations
USDA Regulation 7 CFR Part 15b requires substitutions or modifications in school meals for children whose disabilities restrict their diets. A child with a disability must be provided substitutions in foods when that need is supported by a signed statement from a licensed physician.
