Where is Sal y Mar located?
Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar & Restaurant is located at the new Midtown Tampa complex in the Aloft Hotel on the 7th floor with a $5 valet charge off South Dale Mabry just South of the i275 interstate. Sal Y Mar is Spanish for Salt & Sea with food inspired by the Riviera Maya area of Mexico and specifically the Tulum area which I had the pleasure of visiting with my fella a couple years back.#N#The Sal Y Mar Burger came with a brioche bun, manchego, guacamole, Pico De Gallo, mixed greens, and potato wedges. 8/10#N#The Seared Tuna Tower came with pineapple, avocado, tomato, with sesame soy drizzle. 8/10#N#The Filet Mignon Steak came seared with cilantro, green onion, garlic butter, roasted sweet potato medallions, & sautéed spicy kale 9/10#N#The Mason Jar Cheesecake came with fresh blueberry & strawberries and had a great Bourbon vanilla flavor that was not too sweet and pretty light and refreshing! 9/10#N#The service was a bit on the slow side but the place is brand new and super busy. The prices are a bit higher than average but this place has a pretty upscale feel! If you wanna visit and don't like waiting, maybe wait a couple weeks until this place cools off a little! If you're in the midtown tampa area and looking for new hot spot for nice cocktails or food with a view of Downtown, I highly recommend checking out Sal Y Mar!
