2020: Growing to Google, publication postponed by pandemic
The first versions of the Mary’s Domain Alexa integration, or “skill” as Amazon would refer to it, met my requirements. Before heading to eat, I could ask Alexa for the menu to determine conveniently where I’d like to go. I quietly used the skill for a few months and showed it to a few friends.
2022: The new Dash and beyond
At the start of the Spring 2022 semester, a redesigned Dash was released. Given my work on voice assistants and usage of assistive technology, the dining staff asked me to participate in a closed beta of the website a few months before its release.

Can you dine at Sharples?
Masks will need to be worn at all times, except when seated at a table eating. Only Students will be allowed to Dine at Sharples. No guests, visitors, staff, or faculty will be able to dine at the facility. Beginning on February 22 students can dine in for breakfast.

Sharpie’s Restaurant is a cozy hometown casual restaurant serving quality fresh comfort food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catering. We are located at 11888 Highway 421 South in Trade, Tennessee. We also have a salad bar, children’s menu, beverages and dessert menu available.

03/31/2010 - Heather Sharpie's has great food. The service is excellent. The owners are wonderful. Everyone there is very friendly. They just put out a new menu. Go try it. The Chicken Club is delicious. They have Seafood on Friday & Saturday nigts. You will not be disappointed. They have local beef,kids menu etc.
