The entire experience was phenomenal and my next trip to New Orleans will also begin with a reservation to Shaya. The food is spectacular (I’d recommend a hummus and the moussaka to start), and you can’t go wrong with the entrees. The staff was great and friendly. Among the best experiences in New Orleans.

The pace of the meal is quite slow, but in an enjoyable, companionable, relaxed way. In this all too hurried world, to slow down and savor is a treat. The only reason I gave the value a 4 instead of a 5 is that, although pretty much standard, $14 for a cocktail is just too much. Still, it was a good cocktail. I highly recommend Shaya.
