Is Shin Sen gumi a good place to get Ramen?
If you like thin chewy ramen noodles, then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, it was not the place for me. I'm a bigger fan of thicker noodles with more chew and substance. Don't get me wrong, Shin-Sen-Gumi is a staple in the Sawtelle area but I'd rather get in line for one of the many other ramen options on the street (cough cough Tsjuita).

Start your review of Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen & Udon - Irvine. Just a quick update. NEW FAVORITE ITEM!!! Deep fried squid legs!! Take nothing away from the standard ramen that we still think is one of the best, but the squid legs are crazy good. (i think it's the salt that you dip them into, but it might be the lemon too). Anyways, mic dropped.
