
What kind of ramen does Terakawa have?
I was craving ramen when I was in Philly and decided to give this restaurant a try. I got their signature Terakawa ramen: Natural Heritage Berkshire Pork bone soup topped with roast pork (charshu), bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, red ginger, chopped scallions and a seasoned boiled egg.
What do you think about shoyu ramen?
The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the pork was amazing. The broth was rich and had the right amount of green onions, sprouts, and bamboo shoots. I was less pleased with the Shoyu Ramen. They were perfectly pan fried, but they were cold and the stuffing was too much in size with the dumpling skin.
What are the different styles of fresh ramen noodles?
We offer 2 styles of fresh ramen noodles. Traditional ramen is a thick wavy egg noodle. Kyushu ramen is a thin straight light colored noodle. Both are handmade and both cooked in an 'al dente' fashion, as they will continue to cook in the broth when served.
What is Kumamoto Ramen?
Our chef's recipes originate from the Kumamoto region of Japan. The broth is simmered for an extended period to instill a deep, well-developed flavor Traditional ramen noodles are egg noodles, which is soft golden yellow color and wavy.

Curry Rice Platter Menu
Lightly breaded chicken cutlet served Japanese curry over rice with side of pickle relish and salad topped with ginger dressing.
Donburi (Rice Bowl) Menu
Lightly breaded pork cutlet, egg, caramelized onions and scallions served with sweet soy dashi over rice.
Udon Menu
Fish broth and udon topped with shrimp tempura (on side), seasonal veggie, fish cake, scallion and egg.
Speciality Ramen Menu
Vegetable broth (miso base) with wavy egg noodle topped with cabbage, carrot, seasonal veggie, bamboo shoot, corn, kikurage mushroom, bean sprout scallion, sesame seed and seasoned boiled egg.

Where is Terakawa Ramen?
Terakawa Ramen is a lovely Japanese restaurant sat in the heart of Chinatown. The menu is typical to most ramen eateries: Ramen, buns, takoyaki, chicken karaage, etc. But we all know the ramen and boa buns are the star of the show. No need to get fancy, go for what works. An order of pork buns and ramen.
How much is curry rice at the karaage?
The deeply warm and soothing taste of curry rice mixed with a crisp bite of chicken is such a great deal at $3.50 alongside a main entree.
Is Terakawa ramen good?
Terakawa ramen was awesome. It was great tonkotsu flavor and noodles. I loved cha shu-pork. I loved the hanjuku-half boiled egg!
Is bibim ramen spicy?
Bibim noodle - this is a specialty ramen. It's a sweet flavored noodle, the only spicy part is the kimchi. No broth in this one, which is just how I like it. I recommend giving this a try. I came hungry so can easily finish this.
Is Terakawa a good place to eat?
Terakawa is a small nondescript restaurant in a strip mall next door to an Asian supermarket (which is also quite good). The service is friendly and quick, the menu has lots of options including many vegetarian selections, the broth is so light, fresh and flavorful, and the noodles are cooked just perfectly.
