When should I pay my school meal charges?
All unpaid meal charges should be paid by the end of each school year. Unpaid meal charges can be reconciled in single or multiple payments until the account is no longer in a negative balance.
What happens if a student doesn't have enough money for a meal?
If a student does not have enough money in his or her account for a meal, The student will be allowed to continue purchasing meals up to $5, and the district will present the parent with a schedule of repayment for any outstanding account balance.
What is curbside meal service?
MISD Food & Nutrition Services offers curbside meal service providing weekly meal kits to MISD student enrolled in the Virtual Learning Academy. Weekly service is available each Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at John Horn High School, Mesquite High School and West Mesquite High School. Each kit will consist of (5) breakfasts and (5) lunches. On weeks that contain school holidays, the number of meals served may vary and meal pricing will be adjusted accordingly. Meals must be purchased as a complete kit, and cannot be purchased separately.
