What is the best thing to eat at young young's?
Young's has the best food and ice cream around. Start your meal with their fried cheese curds; you will be amazed at the fresh cheese with fried outer shell! We love the pork chops, the chicken and dumplings, and the old fashioned open faced turkey and beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy.
Does Youngs Dairy make their own ice cream?
We make all of our own ice cream right here on the farm. Our ice cream is made from a 15% butterfat mix (pasteurized milk, cream, and sugar mixture). 15% butterfat ice cream is very rich in taste. It has a smooth, creamy texture and blends well with many flavors.
Are dogs allowed at Youngs Jersey Dairy?
Yes, we are a dog-friendly farm. Please keep them on a leash at all times.
Who owns Youngs dairy farm?
Dan Young (Chief Ice Cream Dipper and CEO of Young's Dairy) started thinking at home about the idea of a family of cows and mentioned it to his wife, Cathy about helping come up with the idea. One of Cathy's friend's husband, Dave Gullett, who does art work on the side heard the conversation.
When was Youngs dairy founded?
Young's history begins in 1869 when relatives of the Young Family built the red barn. Hap Young bought the 60-acre farm and house shortly after the end of World War II. For the next 10 years, Hap and his three sons Carl, Bob, and Bill, farmed the 60 acres, plus up to 500 additional rented acres.
