Is all that Shabu a good restaurant?
While some restaurants have good quality meat but a poor selection in the salad bar (or vice versa), I would say that All That Shabu manages to put out good quality meat along with a fairly decent selection in both salad bar and cooked food options.

Heard many raving reviews of All That Shabu from friends who have gone so I needed to come give it a try myself. The restaurant is fairly large but it does get crowded during peak times. We waited approximately 30 minutes for a table for 10 during the lunch rush.
What is shabu-shabu and what does it taste like?
Shabu-Shabu is a Japanese nabemono hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water and served with dipping sauces. Clearly at this restaurant, it's more or less of a Chinese hot pot place where you get an individual pot of hot soup and order some meats and then add on all you can eat veggies from a salad bar.

All That Shabu is located on the corner of Garfield Avenue and Main Street in Alhambra. They're located inside the same shopping plaza as Sprouts and Burlington Coat Factory, and right next to Big Catch Seafood House.
What is a shabu buffet?
They're a buffet style for side dishes and hot foods while the meats are ordered through the servers. You have up to 11 types of meats to choose from for dinner and weekends. All meats are thinly slice which is nice for quick cooking. The meats are just meats, nothing really special nor really stood out like other shabu places. Also I'm usually able to eat lamb but when I tried this place it had such a strong gamey taste that I couldn't even eat it.
