History
It all started in 1998 and was founded by Scott Jennings. The first hut was opened in 1998 in Tempe, Arizona. Jennings reportedly paid his customers $5 to encourage them to promote the restaurant.
Review
The place has a laid-back kind of hospitality. Its casual dining atmosphere is often compared to restaurants one might find at the beach. Various art pieces decorate the interior.

About Cheba Hut
In 1998, Scott Jennings founded the first Cheba Hut in Tempe, Arizona a few blocks away from Arizona State University.

This stoner-friendly sub shop is very relaxed, playing good music and attracting chill people. The interior is colorful and makes you feel like you’re relaxing at the beach. Order you sub at the counter before you grab your choice of bagged chips, “munchies,” and drink. Grab a seat and hang out at one of the many dine-in tables.
Chicken and Turkey
California club. Roasted turkey breast, chipotle mayo, fresh jalapenos, bacon, pepper jack and avocado. Comes loaded up with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, house dressing, Parmesan and oregano.
Meat
Pizza sub. Handcrafted marinara, Genoa salami, pepperoni and provolone.
