Donatos Pizza was first started in Columbus, Ohio in 1963. Ohio State student Jim Grote wanted to create an establishment that would focus on three things: creating superior pizzas, hiring great people and treating others as he would like to be treated. He purchased the first location for $1,300 and began this mission.
