Dune Brothers is the product of two long-time friends who share a passion for the food and culture of where they grew up in coastal New England. Owners Jason Hegedus and Nicholas Gillespie first thought of the concept while living in Portland, Oregon and reminiscing about the fish shacks that they would visit as children.

Ed and Dan Dunn founded the Dunn Brothers Coffee on a dream – to offer great coffee in underserved places – in December 1987 in St. Paul, Minnesota. In just two decades and despite the stiff competition from the industry giants, the chain of coffeehouses has become one of the top ten largest coffee companies in the United States.
