What is the food service like at fcfcps?
FCPS Food Nutrition Services works closely with the Fairfax County Health Department to ensure proper food safety and sanitation. All students will be offered no cost breakfast and lunch for the entire school year. Menus are online . Food shortages are nationwide, and our district is also experiencing unavailable items or last minute replacements.
Who is eligible for free meals at FCPS?
All FCPS students (regardless of age) are eligible for free meals, as well as other county children that are eighteen (18) years and under. Parents/caregivers picking up meal kits for children should let staff know how many children's meals they need. Adults may purchase meal kits at the central kitchen sites.
How are the lunches delivered and served?
The lunches are delivered to the school and served by a Food Service staff member. It is important that our students indicate their lunch choices daily and maintain a positive lunch account balance. You can view the school menu calendar here.
What is the Seamless Summer option at fcfcps?
FCPS is offering healthy no-cost meals at all locations this school year as part of VDOE’s Seamless Summer Option implemented under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Enrolled students will be offered a nutritious meal for breakfast and lunch each day at no charge to the household.
Can you purchase meals at the meal kit sites?
Adults may purchase meals only at the meal kit sites. The meals will be provided at no cost for students through June 2022. FCPS students are welcome to come to any of the sites or bus route stops to pick up a meal during these time periods. Please wear a mask when picking up meals.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Office of Food and Nutrition Services is offering healthy meals at locations throughout Fairfax County this summer under the USDA Summer Food Service Program. The same meals will be available at no separate charge to all participants at each site. Our goal is to provide every student in FCPS daily access to a healthy meals during this pandemic.
