Is McMenamin's a good restaurant?
McMenamin's is a unique environment that is very fun and festive. The food is good enough, but it's reasonably priced. I ate the grain bowl and loved it, but the reuben sandwich was tough, and wasn't grilled, just toasted. We enjoyed the view and the atmosphere very much.

1950s: Because of soaring membership, the Elks start looking and planning for a new location for a larger, more modern lodge. Having previously acquired the Allenmore Golf Course in the south end of the city, they decide to construct their new lodge on that property.
