I even came to Meson while in labor with my youngest child twenty something years ago (though had to give up ordering another round of tapas as contractions grew stronger, so I could go home and get a bit of sleep before going to the hospital during the night). Needless to say, Meson Sabika is our favorite restaurant!”

Carry Out
Originating in its modern form in the mid-19th century near Lake Albufera, a lagoon in Valencia, on the east coast of Spain, Paella quickly became an iconic dish of Valencia and Spain in turn. According to tradition in Valencia, paella is cooked by men over an open fire, fueled by orange and pine branches along with pine cones.
