What is pickity place?
Pickity Place is everything right about the world. If you aren't already aware of their "thing", they are herb people, growing every herb imaginable on site and then offering five course meals using all fresh ingredients from the farm, for the affordable price of 21.95 (without tip). With little shops tucked away in various barns and sheds over the property, you can even take the experience back home with you. The main shop has fresh teas, herbs, dip mixes, chili mixes, pancake mixes, etc. using the farm grown herbs and vegetables. All are reasonably priced considering the freshness and portion. My best friend was all about the tea, I was all about the dip. We had the chance to try the Curry Dip, which was absolutely fantastic.
Where is the dining room in Little Red Riding Hood?
A little behind schedule, we were seated at 2:30. The dining room is located inside the "Red Riding Hood House", which is actually a house chosen by Elizabeth Orton Jones as the model for her illustrations in Little Red Riding Hood (1948). The interior of the dining room is much like dining in a home, with a warm, cottage feel. We were greeted right away by a friendly hippie-server, so I felt right at home.
