Selva Grill Downtown never disappoints. Everything we ordered was excellent, accompanied by excellent service. Crab Napolean was delicious. Snapper and crab topped salmonwere both excellent. Only problem with the evening was the noise level. You could barely hear the person sitting next to you, though it was a Saturday night. One of the very best choices in Sarasota.

Skirt steak was overrated in my opinion. Very small portion too. The highlight of the meal was the wahoo ceviche. Very good

Now with two locations, Selva makes it a no-brainer to meet University Park friends for dinner or walk to Main St. From day one, Selva has been our go-to restaurant for good food, drink and service. We especially love their skirt steak which is our go-to meal. The chopped salad and risotto are also enjoyed along with main meal.
When did 5food dine in 2021?
Dined on August 8, 2021. Overall 5food 5service 5ambience 5. This was the first time that we’d eaten at the UTC Selva Grille. It’s every bit as marvelous as their downtown location and parking is a lot easier. The Passion Fruit Pisco Sour was amazing!

Is UTC loud?
You feel like you're in New York or LA or... Great Vibe! Food is always superb along with the waitstaff. Only one minor issue... the acoustics could be worked on a bit. It's incredibly loud - whether you're in the bar area or the dining room.

When Jurado had first arrived in the city after being born in Cali, Colombia, he was two years old. And like many immigrant children, he was a full-blown American by the time he returned to Colombia for the first time as a teenager, with a simultaneously deep emptiness and equally deep yearning to connect.
