Farmer Angus
"I ditched a London-based career in finance to return to South Africa where I grew up. I began farming at Spier in 2008. Inspired by biodynamic principles, I believe in farming as naturally and holistically as possible. Our happy cattle, pigs and hens are all free-roaming in pastures. The meat and eggs are used in the restaurants across the farm."
Chef Hennie
Chef Hennie is not a fan of fancy, fussy cooking. “For me, the secret to a great meal is honest, authentic and unpretentious food made with the best quality ingredients.”
PJ Vadas
At 16, when PJ decided this would be his career, he knew two things: he wanted to work for Gordon Ramsay and wanted to someday own his own restaurant.
Try this at home
Bacon makes everything better. Here, it turns a humble cabbage salad into a festive centrepiece, especially if you add dried cranberries — little red jewels that elevate this even further.
Breakfast
From as early as 06.30h (6.30 a.m) you are welcome in our attractive restaurant to enjoy the excellent and very extensive breakfast buffet.
Dinner
Our chef works exclusively with fresh products and thus creates mouth-watering dishes. Whether it is an extensive dinner buffet, an intimate dinner with family and friends or a fantastic gala dinner, with us it is a unique experience.
Brunch
From Sunday 9 September we organize a delicious Sunday brunch from 12:00 to 14:30 every sunday.
