When will Tan Cha open?
Tan-Cha opened in September 2020 and joins Gong Cha (August 2020), Pearl's Tea (October 2020), and Cuckoo's Cafe (February 2021) as new bubble tea shops to open on Buford Highway over the last year.
How many ounces of water does a Tan Cha cup hold?
The manager, Mike T, told me that all of Tan-Cha's cups, foam or no foam, hold 22 ounces. Foam drinks are served in smaller-looking cups with snap-shut lids as opposed to the standard boba tea cups with sealed plastic film on top. If you get a drink with foam, you get about 17 ounces of liquid.
Does Tan Cha have espresso?
Like other bubble tea shops, Tan-Cha uses the word "latte" loosely as there was no actual espresso nor steamed milk in my drink. Instead, it was caramelized brown sugar, boba (tapioca pearls), and whole milk. I like brown sugar boba drinks in general and this was one of my favorites anywhere so far.

What kind of tea is in Royal Ceylon?
We ordered a royal ceylon milk tea with tiramisu, a strawberry smoothie, a roasted oolong milk tea with cheese foam, and an uji matcha milk tea. All of the drinks had less ice and less sugar. Everyone was very satisfied with their drinks, and they were a treat for the start of this new year.
