Taraval Okazu Ya is the best sushi spot in the outer sunset. After being constantly disappointed by all the other Taraval Sushi establishments (Sushi Zen, Ninki, Fuji, etc) We've finally settled on Okazu Ya. Their sushi is very fresh, the service is great, and they offer a huge variety of rolls and fish.
Is Kobe a good place to eat?
Food is excellent. The owner and sushi chef is great. We eat here whenever we are in the city. The sea bass is fantastic. The Kobe is wonderful, when he has it. The lamb chops are fabulous. The place is always packed. Servers are busy, but are attentive. I have been many times and never been disappointed. We know the best dishes, so we are never disappointed.
Is the sushi bar friendly?
The waiters here are all very friendly, as are the sushi chefs. It's always fun to sit at the sushi bar and watch them work. Waitresses are always helpful in continually replenishing my siracha. Whenever I have guests, I always bring them here. This is a great place for quality sushi.
Is Taraval good for sushi?
Decent sushi that is reasonably priced. Parking on Taraval can be tough though. Been coming here for years and haven't had any complaints. Good for when the mood for sushi hits and you don't want to venture out of the sunset.
