When was Eighmey Hall built?
In the year 1882, construction on Eighmey Hall began. The building, which is the largest structure in the neighborhood, was named after local businessman Lewis Eighmey (1833-1908). In the late 1800s and early 1900s, the building housed storefronts on the first floor, including the Sugar Bowl and F.W. Woolworth’s five and dime store.
