Is Chino Bandido Mexican or Chinese fusion?
Chino Bandido is supposed to be Mexican and Chinese fusion, but the only fusion is in the style of food, and not the flavor palate. For example, offering quesadillas doesn't really make the food "Mexican" in anything other than face value.
What was your first meal at Chino's?
My first meal at Chino's was in 1998. I ordered Jen Red Pork in a burrito, teriyaki chicken on the side and a double order of chicken fried rice. My current order is similar, with a little more experience. Jade Red Chicken, Machaca quesadilla, white rice and black beans. It's hard to explain what makes Chino's so good.
Why is Chino’s so popular in Phoenix?
For this alone, you have to give Chino credit for being an innovator of sorts. And given that they are one of the most frequently reviewed restaurants on Yelp within the Phoenix area, it's obvious that they've amassed quite a following over the years.
Does Chino's offer samples of meats?
I remember years ago, becoming confused by Chino's ordering system, but appreciated the willingness to provide samples of meats for those that felt overwhelmed by their unusual selections. Things are a bit more simplified now, which is probably a good thing.
