Since in 1919
Initally built in 1919 to house the printing division of the Fresno Morning Republican newspaper. In 1982 the printery was converted into a private dining facility known as The Downtown Club. In the dining hall you will still find a major nineteenth-century newspaper press along with much of the original structure, furniture and fixtures.
Where is the Downtown Club located?
The Downtown Club was originally located on the top floor of the T.W. Patterson Building , before moving to the renovated Fresno Republican Printery Building in 1982, where it remains a vital part of the Valley's business and political scene. What is the Down Town Club?
The Down Town Club welcomes guests to your ceremony with a breathtaking view overlooking Independence National Historical Park. The stage is set with romantic draping to create a clean, classic background for all of the ceremony’s special moments. Rich color, texture, and history entertain guests as they await the bride or groom’s graceful entrance. Photographers appreciate the modern and elegant details in every shot.
What is the main room in Independence Hall?
The Main Cocktail Room overlooks Independence Hall from floor-to-ceiling windows. It is furnished with high and low tables topped with votive candles, lucite chiavari chairs, and an elegant baby grand player piano. The Room also features two chef-attended action stations, a customizable ice sculpture, famous raw bar, and full service bar.
