When did Drusie and Darr open?
Nov. 18Drusie & Darr, a new restaurant from renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, opens Wednesday, Nov. 18 in The Hermitage Hotel's former Capitol Grille space. The all-new restaurant features an updated interior and a menu from Vongerichten, who has more than 30 restaurants throughout from Paris to New York to Tokyo.

What happened to the Oak Bar at the Hermitage Hotel?
According to a release, work is underway to reinvent the current spaces and both Capitol Grille and Oak Bar are closed. The work, being done via a permit valued at $310,000 (read more here), will be completed in the fall. Hotel guests can still order from the two and dine in the hotel's lobby.

The First Course
The first course was an out-of-this-world egg toast with caviar and herbs.
The Second Course
The second course was tuna tartare with crushed avocado and radish with a ginger dressing. It arrived without the dressing — they poured it into the bowl at the table for an elevated presentation. I do enjoy a great presentation as it just makes a meal stand out.
The Fourth Course
The fourth course was a filet, cooked medium rare, with Brussels sprouts and miso mustard sauce.
The Fifth and Final Course
The fifth course was the famed chocolate lava cake served with vanilla ice cream.
