What is La Kang Thai noodles bar like?

Start your review of La Kang Thai Noodles Bar. The place is small with bar seating at the noodle station. We've been here a bunch of times in the short time they've opened and have tried alot of the menu. In no particular order: The spring rolls are good. Crispy and hot with a nice sweet and sour sauce. The pork kebabs are delicious.

How good is the Tamarind at Kang Kang?

If they toned down the sweetness and upped the tamarind, it would be spectacular. The atmosphere is cozy. The food is phenomenal and the service was amazing. Highly recommend! We got the Kang Kang shrimp, (it's like bang bang shrimp, but better), the Brussel appetizer the crab fried rice and the pineapple fried rice and I added skirt steak!

Setting and décor

The first word that comes to my mind is cozy. The room was roughly 10 x 30 feet and dimly lit. It was nice and warm on a very cold night.

Service

I have never had quicker service than we had at La Kang. Not only was the service speedy quick, it would be a great spot for lunch if you work nearby and are pressed for time. Everyone was exceptionally kind and attentive. There were two lovely women running the show.

Food

The menu is comprised of authentic Thai cuisine with an emphasis on noodle dishes. This includes short ribs khao soi, Sukhothai pork noodle soup, duck confit leg noodle soup, drunken noodle, pad Thai and pad see ew.

The bottom line

Aside from the excellent food and ambience, our time at La Kang Thai Noodles Bar was joyous and emotional. It felt so good to talk about something as happy and exciting as a wedding among cherished company.
