Does the door have a buffet on Sundays?
I should also mention that The Door has a thoughtful buffet on Sundays and Thursdays so you can sample a variety of Jamaican dishes. We were there on a Thursday and I noticed that most of the clientele were opting for the buffet. The only criticism I have was on the complimentary Cornbread which was a tad dry.
How did we find the door in Queens?
We found The Door by perusing restaurant reviews on TripAdvisor. I am a retired chef and I have to say that I am truly happy... that our flight was cancelled JUST because I got to experience this wonderful eatery! The food is Jamaican. I mean the country, not the area in Queens (New York City).
