What is the wave?
The Wave is the first inland-surfing destination of its kind, where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can experience the joy of surfing and its many physical and mental health benefits. But it’s not just about surfing. It’s about getting back to nature, improving health and well-being, connecting with other people, enjoying great food and drink, and having a load of fun in the process!
Where is the wave in Gloucestershire?
The Wave is close to junction 17 of the M5 motorway in South Gloucestershire and is easily accessible by bicycle, car or bus.
How many tents are there at the wave?
Set in a private field close to the waves The Camp at The Wave offers 25 tents, for up to 8 people each. It is the perfect space to escape, chill out, connect, sleep and reset.
Who are the wavemakers?
Our first Wavemakers are our founders, Nick Hounsfield and Craig Stoddart. They are the people who have led The Wave’s pioneering and successful business.
